Francobolli della IV emissione di Sardegna con effigi multiple

una leggera doppia effige.

Hi everyone

I am new to this forum and from the UK, but have been directed here from another forum and have been told that many of you can understand English a lot better than my Italian and that there are many real experts on here that will be able to help.

The following two stamps were within an auction lot I recently bought and the 20c was stating as having a 'double head' and partly double oval, and the 80c a 'quadruple head'. My understanding is that a lot of the double head and inverted head of these issues were later added onto printer's waste and so expect that this may be the case here, but I was more curious about the quadruple head and whether there are many examples of similar. The perforations for both are 11½x12.

Any help and advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.

First of all welcome in our Forum!
Coming to your stamps, I would say that both are genuine, as well as the king's "first" head, i.e. the head well impressed.
It is very difficult to say if the further heads are genuine, since details are not identifiable.
However, double heads are quite easy to find, whereas the quadruple head on the 80c stamp is by far less frequent.
Since I am not an expert of this issue, I suggest you waiting for more reliable opinions.

La doppia effigie è ben visibile e poco discosta.
Parecchi collezionisti della IV emissione attibuiscono importanza e quindi un plusvalore a questa particolarità, soprattutto ai casi più eclatanti, nei quali la distanza fra le effigi è maggiore.
A me personalmente dice poco, anche perché se ne vedono molte.
Non saprei quantificare il plusvalore della doppia effigie. In ogni caso bella lettera!
