Monza 1914 - Primo Pellegrinaggio Nazionale

I found attached post card at Sbratel in Prague.

Question: Paolo G. shows this cancel as a postal cancel from Monza.
(See the famous book "Catalogo degli Annulli Speciali Italiani 1871-1946")

Here it is used on the same day - but it seems in Milano.
And: it does not look like postal use - for canceling a regular cancel was used.

Any ideas?

in my opinion it's not a postal cancel, but of that event. Nothing else.

It is a postmark, as stated is in my catalogue and is known used as canceller on travelled mail. Here the postcard was franked and shipped later the same day from Milan, but it is difficult to say why the sender decided to send it from Milan. Maybe the Monza special post office did not accept registered mail.

BTW: the one in your book seems to be black. This one is GREEN. Are other colors known?

The one in the book is dark green. Different shades of green are known.
